Dressing for autumn

What isn’t there to love about bright autumn days? Dressing for clear, sunny weather in October is wonderful: pretty dresses with gorgeous boots and coats are ideal for temperatures that start and end cold but warm up in the middle of the day.

I was so lucky to find this vintage Aquascutum coat in my local Cancer Research charity shop, and it looks great with the brown suede ankle boots. I’m on the look out for white knee boots which will also work well with this coat and a cute dress, but they’ll look good over jeans too which is another autumn staple for me.

Imagine there’s never any rain – what’s your favourite autumn outfit?
