Apparently, according to the French, it’s not very chic to talk about the weather. But here in the UK all we can do is talk about the weather – it’s so unpredictable that it’s forever a talking point. Which does make awkward new introductions easier if nothing else…
Anyway, we’ve been trying to make the most of being outdoors when we can. A picnic breakfast or weekend home baking al fresco feels like a real treat since the sun isn’t always hot. A sprinkler-run for the kids here, a mad dash inside there… a glass of vino on the (new) patio for the adults, whatever the weather! Any why not dress up for the occasion, make it nice? I know I keep saying it but it’s true: it’s the little things that count the most.
My dress is LK Bennett (pr gift, I’m in a size 12, it come in navy check and plain pink too) and my sandals are Dune.
Nathan’s t-shirt is Tu at Sainsbury’s and his shorts are Next.
Kittie’s jumpsuit is Next and her hat is H&M.
