Bringing glamour back

It’s safe to say that dressing up has become much less appealing over the last couple of years, but there’s still something joyful about wearing heels every now and then.

When I saw this dress I knew it would be a great all-rounder for the autumn and winter months. The paisley print, the lace, the rich colours, they all contribute to that gorgeous autumn aesthetic, and the different pops of colour means you can be more adventurous with your coat – I chose black for this shoot but aubergine, brown, teal and turquoise would work well with the colours in the print.

But what really appealed to me was the versatility of this dress. Obviously I went full steam ahead on this post with heeled boots, this stunning coat, and even a beret, but I’m really excited to get some more every-day wear out of this with my combat boots and puffer coat.

That’s the joy of dresses, they’re so easy . You can dress them down for every day, when you need to be comfortable and get from A to B to Z and back again – but they’re just as easy to dress up with some heels and a fabulous coat when you’re going somewhere fancy, or simply if you’re just feeling a bit sassy.

I’m wearing

Coat, Monsoon
Dress, Monsoon
Hat, Walker Slater
Boots, Faith at Debenhams (old, similar)
