The spring/summer 2011 collection from Marks and Spencer is pretty much a one-stop-shop for this season’s biggest trends. The family-favourite high street giant is offering up everthing from colour block jumpsuits (as seen at Gucci) to out-there prints (as seen at Prada) to exotic maxi dresses (as seen at Cavalli), and everything inbetween. You will even find a great pair of chiffon, floral print palazzo pants and a Victoria Beckham-esque orange shift dress. Accessorize the pants with an oversize hat, and the dress with a pair of round, black sunglasses, et voila! Spring/Summer 2011, done.
My favourite pieces from M&S this season are a tassled dress (in a lovely sandy hue, which brings to mind the Namib Desert) with a tribal-like neckline, and the nude leather biker jacket similar to those in the Burberry Prorsum SS11 collection.
If you can’t decide where to shop this season’s trends, head to Markies – a failsafe option this season, and every season.
Per Una Speziale tassle dress, £89 available June; Autograph peach leather biker jacket, £220 available now, both Marks & Spencer.
