The perfect holiday dress is one that will take you straight from the beach to the bar, and this tent style from F&F at Tesco fits the bill perfectly. It’s 100% cotton which means it’ll keep me cool (I don’t need anything that’s going to increase my body temperature any further), and it will retain its shape even if it gets a bit damp after a swim. It looks effortlessly chic with flip flops, a hat and a beach bag. What’s better than an easy-to-wear dress that makes you feel put together?
I wore it earlier this week for a family dinner in the garden and dressed it up just for the fun of it. I paired it with my new statement earrings (a gift to me from me, for my 40th) and lashings of Trinny London Lip2Cheek in Schmoogie, perfectly matched to the pink in the dress (which I probably could have blended better now I see the photos, but we can blame that on the prosecco). Leather sandals, bracelets and layered necklaces complete the evening holiday look, but if I were going out I’d possibly swap flats for heels and grab a raffia or an embellished clutch.
An ice-cold strawberry daquiri would be an ideal finishing touch.
