The Daydreamer Goes To: Geneva and Lausanne

You might have guessed from my social media outlets that I’ve been living it up in Switzerland! I’ll be blogging about my trip to Geneva and Lausanne over the next week (both here and on my Huffington Post blog), but until then, I thought I’d let you know how brilliant my Samsonite case was for travelling.

Here’s why:
A) It’s super light. Weighing in at just 2.8kg, there’s plenty of weight left over to fit in that extra clutch bag or your own professional hair dryer. (I do hate hotel hair dryers). The case is medium-large in size and is perfect for a week away. Or, like me, just for a couple of nights!
B) It’s got 4 fully rotating wheels. This means the case simple and easy to manoeuvre around busy airports and public transport. And you won’t scuff your good pumps by continually pushing it into leaning position as the 4 wheels mean it moves around in an upright position.
C) The hard shell protected my personal items inside brilliantly. We all know what baggage handlers are like – they chuck our cases around like hot potatoes! The hard shell takes the brunt of being thrown around so that your favourite heels don’t get damaged. In fact, my Samsonite took a bash which indented the shell – but it popped right out, good as new, and my stuff was fine.
D) The range of colours is amazing – you can coordinate with existing luggage in a classic, neutral palette or go for high-vis with a bright pop of colour so your case is easy to spot on the carousel. I went for the stand-out red, which is practical and stylish.
E) Packing has never been easier; one side of the case is good for packing your clothing, with elastic straps and easy clip to keep your gear in place, while the other side is great for loose items such as shoes, bags, hair styling tools, etc: the zipped net cover keeps it all in the one place without spilling into the other side. There’s also a zipped pocked that runs down the centre of the case for toiletries, hairbrushes, jewellery, vitamins, and perfume bottles. Everything has its place – and, most of all, it stays put!

I don’t think I can travel without mine now!
