Is there anything better than a summer dress that makes you feel lovely? Well, yes – it’s a summer dress that makes you feel lovely and costs just £29.99.
This one is from Zara. A simple shape, it has a slightly A-line skirt which would be easy to have taken up if it’s too long for you, and the viscose/linen blend means it’s lightweight enough for hot days but heavy enough to provide a flattering fit. It did come with a coral belt, but it wasn’t really my vibe so I gave it to my sister-in-law and instead I wear it without, or with a black belt I already own. What I love most though, is that the black and white polka dots make this dress ideal for almost any occasion. I wore it here for a walk in the village when we were in Oxfordshire, but I’m also considering it for a September wedding, with heels.
It’s one of those dresses that I wish I’d bought two of because, one day, it’s going to wear out or looked tired and I just know I’ll wish I’d had another to take its place. It sold out a few times but was restocked quickly, so you might just find one in your size. Sadly, at the time of writing this post Zara’s website didn’t even have it listed but we can keep our fingers crossed that this superstar of a dress hits the sale rail in store.
I’m wearing: dress, Zara (current); sunglasses, Dior (last year, Bicester Village); trainers, Superga (old, gifted but still current); basket, Next (old, gifted).
