As you know, I love Lanvin. I think Alber Elbaz is incredibly talented and really considers women when he designs for the French fashion house. I also think he seems like a very good person; humble, attentive, genuine and perhaps slightly eccentric – which can only ever be a good thing!
I miss a lot of invites to press, fashion and beauty events because I’m based in Scotland, and to regularly travel to London/Paris/New York is just not financially viable for me as a freelancer. Missing these events is frustrating (because it’s so nice to meet people you work with but never see) and I’m always so pleased to have been invited in the first place that I often feel terrible when having to decline. Lanvin held a dinner for the opening of the new boutique in Milan recently, and that’s one invite I wish I had got… I’d have made it there whether there was cash in my Mulberry purse or not!
