My mum took me to Bravissimo for my first fitting when I was about eighteen, and what could have been one of the most awkward experiences of my teenage years turned out to be one of the most rewarding. I remember feeling nervous, embarrassed, and wishing the whole thing would be over and done with before I even entered the shop, but as soon as my Bravissimo fitter took me under her wing I felt entirely at ease. I was glad to have someone to guide me through my first fitting while being encouraging and fun, showing me loads of different styles in the shop. This positive experience stuck with me – what a relief it was to finally feel supported and sexy all at once. I’ve been a customer ever since – that’s twenty-three years of having Bravissimo in my life!
They say having big boobs is both a blessing and a curse. For me, it has felt like a curse in the past, but over the years I’ve learned to accept and love my body (okay, 90% of the time!) and that’s really thanks to the support – literally – of Bravissimo. Without their expert designers, fitters, and amazing customer service team, I think I’d be a very different person. Their lingerie and swimwear have given me the confidence to be myself on the outside, which always helps with how we feel on the inside. This could be down to the fact that once I was fitted properly, I went down two back sizes and up three cup sizes! That’s why I think it’s important to get fitted every so often just to make sure I’m still wearing the right size, so me and my clothes look our best.
Now, as I move into my forties with two young kids and a body that’s still changing, I know Bravissimo is here to see me and my boobs through. While I was on holiday last month, I felt more confident than ever in my Bravissimo bikinis (this one is the Palma set) despite the body hang-ups that have come with age and creating two beautiful children. I felt secure in my bikinis (so important when you’re chasing two young kids around the pool) which allowed me to really have fun and forget all those negative thoughts we let rule our head sometimes.
I’m excited knowing that Bravissimo will be there to see me through the next twenty years. Of course, there will be more hormonal and physical changes to come (for me and my own daughter) and having Bravissimo’s support is pretty special – kind of like having a best friend or a mum-figure who’ll be there for you, no matter what.
