Mum-and-daughter twinning

When I was pregnant with Kittie, at 20 weeks we decided to find out the baby’s gender – we were having a girl, and it took me a bit of time to digest the news. For twenty weeks I’d convinced myself she was a boy, and that I’d be a mum to two boys who I’d dress the same for as long as they’d let me.

After a few weeks of thinking about this, the idea of a daughter really settled in. I had visions of a future being best friends (I really, really hope so), and I realised I’d be able to go one better than matching my kids – mother-and-daughter twinning! It’s something I haven’t done very much of, actually, but now that she’s two-and-a-half I’m finding things that will work for both of us. Like this grey gingham. Mine is New Look, hers is Oscar & Emmie, a small business that sadly closed this week.

Thoughts on mum-and-daughter twinning? I mean, I’m a fan – I’ve even twinned with my mum! What do you think about these outfits? It’s okay, you can say it – I know who wore it best too.

I’m wearing

Dress, New Look
Flip-flops, Havaianas at Next

Kittie’s wearing

Playsuit, Oscar & Emmie
Hat, Oscar & Emmie
