Last night, I attended the opening evening for the new M Boutique in Dundee. Located in Whitehall Crescent, the two storey shop is the second offering from Mhairi McDermott, who opened Mohair in Broughty Ferry a few years ago and recently rebranded the shop as M Boutique. The Broughty Ferry shop has established a very loyal customer base (which includes the UK’s TV sweetheart, Lorraine Kelly), so fans will be pleased to know that a second M Boutique has now opened in the heart of the city centre. Differing slightly to the original boutique, the Dundee shop retains the brand identity created by Mhairi over the years but has a slightly edgier, younger vibe; you can still find gorgeous dresses and pretty jewellery and scarves, along with European labels such as Beck Sondergaard, but the Dundee M Boutique is definitely going to attract a younger shopper thanks to slightly tougher details such as leopard prints, fringing and plenty of denim. Some of my favourite pieces in the new boutique include the black fringed bag, the green ponyskin duffel backpack, the leopard pouch, and the friendship bracelets and coin bangles. And the jeans, and a navy silk top with orange print. In fact, I can’t wait to go back!
A lovely boutique with some the great colour ways!
