Happy New Year 2013

Happy New Year to my lovely Daydreamers!
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Mr Man and I went out for dinner and drinks with our friends last night and today we went for a family lunch at my Mum’s, which – of course – involved steak pie and trifle.

2012 was a really good year for me. I was lucky enough to (finally!) marry the love of my life and we had the most fun, relaxing, beautiful honeymoon in Skiathos. I turned the big 3-0, and it wasn’t too bad. Although I lost my beloved Mya Dog in October, I now have a lovely (but energetic) puppy dog, Jake and he is adorable. I was bridesmaid for a dear friend, who has also had her first baby this year, Maisie. I visited Dublin, a city I have never been to before and loved it. I was invited to the Scottish Fashion Awards in June, which is a great event for Scottish talent within the fashion industry, and I was also lucky enough to be invited to Paris to visit the incredible Norman Parkinson exhibition at La Vallee Village. My freelance career progressed throughout the year and I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Hayley Scanlan and V&A at Dundee. I’ve met some brilliant people this year and I hope that new friendships will continue and that old ones will stay strong. I honestly don’t think that 2012 could have got much better.
So, 2013 – you have big shoes to fill. Let’s hope they come in a Charlotte Olympia box.
