One thing I never have is a decent garment bag. I’ll find myself packing for a friend’s wedding celebrations, only to remember that I can’t fold my dress inside the weekend case without risk of major creasing – but, typically, I have nothing to protect it with! Or, I’ll be heading to a work event straight from the office, my white blazer swinging wildly in the back, dangerously close to the muddied window (the result of a recent outing with the dog). Despite being such a simple and useful purchase, I never buy garment bags – no matter how many pretty dresses I shop for, which is silly because it’s important to look after your clothes to get the best out of them.

The bag is full length and has a full zip too – nothing worse than a full length bag with a half length zip – and has poppers to allow you to double it over, which makes carrying it a lot easier. It’s really roomy too, so you can fit a couple of tailored dresses in, or a suit for that matter, and the piped edges give some structure, helping to prevent the garments from being crushed. Practical and pretty!
