Jimmy Choo is set to release a stylish coffee table book, ‘Jimmy Choo XV’, in celebration of the label’s 15th anniversary.
The covetable book contains a foreword by top fashion commentator, Colin McDowell (a kind, hilarious and very talented man who has written a plethora of books, including biographies of John Galliano, Manolo Blahnik and Ralph Lauren, among others) as well as an introduction by the mastermind behind the label, Tamara Mellon, OBE. Fifteen of the most significant Jimmy Choo shoes from the archives are featured, along with captivating images taken by first-class fashion photographers such as the fantastic Mario Testino. What’s more is, the book contains paparazzi red carpet pictures, top fashion editorial shoots, behind-the-scenes shots and even original design sketches and advertising campaign images. So, basically, a little bit of everything that has helped to transform Jimmy Choo into the iconic brand that it is today. There’s even a chapter dedicated to the Jimmy Choos worn on the red carpet by some of Hollywood’s brightest stars, including Dame Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock and Hilary Swank.
Jimmy Choo XV is the perfect gift for Christmas and I certainly hope that Father Christmas remembers that I’ve been a good girl this year! (Or, if you’d like to spoil someone special, why not go the extra mile and treat them to the deluxe edition – the deluxe copy comes in a snakeskin print embossed slipcase!)
Jimmy Choo XV will be launched exclusively in Jimmy Choo stores worldwide tomorrow and in fine booksellers worldwide from February 2012. FYI: the deluxe edition will retail for around £60.
