Fashion designer Jason Wu is set to collaborate with beauty giant, Lancome, launching in America this September. Jason Wu is one of The Daydreamer’s favourite designers thanks to his feminine but by no means frumpy aesthetic. His use of simple silhouettes and the impeccable cut of his clothes means that his designs are modern yet timeless, obviously a winning combination – his label appeals to women of all ages and backgrounds, from Michelle Obama to Emily Blunt.
Backstage make up for his SS13 show made me think that the Jason Wu girl had spent all day surfing at the beach (think bronzed, freckly skin) and then vamped up for a night on the town with flecks of shimmery gold shadow and a degraded ruby lip. If Wu’s make up line is inspired by his fashion line, it is bound to be a huge success.
There are currently no plans for the Jason Wu x Lancome collection to launch in the UK, but The Daydreamer is holding out hope… and if that fails, I’ll have to start bribing globe-trotting friends!
